The second session of the Transparency in AMET Program took place on 30th April 2025 @ 3:00pm GMT. During the webinar, Meta teams provided information on how encryption works and its importance for the privacy of online communications and security, emerging and ongoing challenges to encryption, and the regulatory landscape. The session included a presentation on Meta’s commitments to user safety and privacy by demonstrating how end-to-end encryption is built into our messaging services and how we keep people safe in encrypted chats, including remedial actions, efforts to manage unwanted contact, and the availability of self-remediation tools.
